Andrew and Delwynne have worked with Baptist Missions in church planting in France since 1987. In 2008 they took up ministry in the Baptist Church in Colmar in the Alsace region of France. This led to a call being issued to Andrew to take up the pastorate of the church and on 27th September 2009 they were confirmed in this ministry by the church.

Consequently, Andrew and Delwynne have resigned as full members of Baptist Missions. They will, however, continue to be connected with the mission as Affiliate Workers. This means that, although directly employed by the Colmar Church, they will continue contributing to Missionline and in this way help us keep an ongoing focus on the very needy country of France.

In their letter of resignation to BM Director – Gordon Darragh, Andrew and Delwynne expressed their appreciation:

‘It is hard to put in words how much of a wrench it is to officially leave the Mission with which we have had many years of happy service since September 1987. On our hearts are etched countless wonderful memories, and even the difficult times have proven to be blessings from God for our ultimate good.

‘We are so grateful for the support we have had from yourself, the Europe Committee and the wider Baptist family during these years of service with Baptist Missions. Truly we could not have served God in France were it not for you shouldering the burden with us. We are thankful also for the ongoing interest of our Irish Baptist brothers and sisters in our new phase of ministry, and feel greatly privileged to have their continued prayer support as we become Affiliate Workers’.
